Used 606

Hey guys,

I just got a used SP 606 but it looks like some of the navigation buttons don't work.
I got it for around 330$ online in "working condition". I'm wondering if it's worth keeping it and trying to get it fixed or if i should just mail it back and get a refund ? Any suggestions/help ?

i found the price a bit expensive
in anycase i once had to change the fx buttons (anyway, the 606 buttons are always the same) and i payed 70€ for the work (2 buttons+labor) in 2010...I cannot say how does it could costs now...

Prolly just needs the dust knocked off the buttons. They got a computer small business near you that can ground themselves, remove the face and spray some electric cleaner in there?

Thanks for the advice guys. I opened it up last night, dusted it out and re connected some of the connectors/data belts that might not have been tight enough and it started to work again.
I ordered a memory card so I'm just waiting to see if it works out. I'm already diggin it though

Hey!! First time poster here. It sucks when you buy something online and it's not in the same condition as advertised.

I just received an SP 606 today that I bought off eBay from a German seller. I got lucky because it's in absolute mint condition. I don't think it was ever used. Maybe switched on a few times. Anyhow I paid 260 Euro for it which I thought was a good deal considering the condition.

I scored a SP 555 as well a month ago, also near mint, but that was 400 Euro. If you're patient enough you can find some good deals.

I must say that I'm loving the SP workflow. I use a MPC 1k and it's not getting much attention lately.
