Re: What's a good price for 808?
I’ve got my eye on one for $250, and it comes with the expansion ins/outs. I’d also like to score a 2nd SP505, but it’s gonna be kinda tight in my budget to do both.

Hell yeah, i got one, too. In mint condition. With EX-OS. And with OP1-Board installed and goddamn with working CF-Card-Reader!
For the price i payed, i nearly could have bought a new mpc one. So to be honest i feel a little bad, too. But i think this was the first and surely the last possibility of my life to get a SP-808 in this fantastic condition. I know i were lucky. I could not resist. It's gonna be an awesome combo with my og 404 for beatmaking.
And i am planning to work with the 808 as my main arranger for a whole electronic album. Recording my gear into it. Or pull out old patterns i did years ago and work with timestretch for remixing them and get them into finished songs.
I can not wait until it arrives next week.

Much as I love the MPC stuff (the ONE, the X etc) I think you made the right decision there. I was just browsing ebay to see how much an AKAI MPC 2000XL would set me back in order to grab the CF Card reader from it.TGN wrote:For the price i payed, i nearly could have bought a new mpc one.
