WAV -> 404SX

On the 404OG you can import WAV-files without using a Wave Converter software. Do you have to use software with SX?

IIRC you can do it without it but the file names need to be in the right format so it's way easier to do it with the software.

You can also import it by just copying the samples on SD and then using the 'import' function on the SP,

But with 'wave converter' it's a breeze man

It was convenient with the wave converter, and you could assign the right sample to the desired pad easily.

On the OG I did it as in your link (some year ago). Works. But as aadu3k mentioned there was something about file naming... Short file names I guess.

I think (but I'm not 100% on this) that the trick with naming files is that you ought to name them in the exact same way that the SP does (like A000000000001), but like I said I'm not sure about that. Just seem to recall someone mentioning it earlier.. Dunno.
