It’s June. You’re early. If you want spooky beats, we can do that.

This is the only spooky record in my collection. But I have some ways to add delays, high pass filters, flange, etc to make the most of it.

There’s a few horror movie soundtracks on vinyl, and some more spooky haunted sound effects records out there I’ve noticed! So there’s time to grab some!

I used to know this one guy who had a reel to reel tape machine. He recorded the Star Wars soundtrack, but pitched it hella hella slow. So slow in fact that you probably wouldn’t have guessed it was Star Wars. And he would play it at his house on full blast for Halloween for great effect. That reminds me, I still gotta order more scary records.

They’re expensive to find blank reels for. And not too sure, but you may only have 2-4 tracks. And if you made any mistakes, you have to cut it out & tape it back together or record it all over again. Not sure it’s really worth all that effort.

I don’t record to tape yet. But this is what I recall about tape machines(Reel to reel).

people only spliced tape in the 60s and early 70s before digital machines existed

reel to reel tape is the pinnacle of hi-fidelity analog audio for the average person, without 6 digits$$$ for an extreme studio
