also, once i get said replacement pads, how much money should i pay my local specialist for replacing? he knows nothing about SPs, all i know is he want $70 if he's on the chair

its incredibly easy to open it up yourself to replace em, the 404 is made for repairing and you only need a cross screwdriver to open it up to get to the pads

im fitting on it the way things are at this point, but id like to talk to a specialist.

having some other issues concerning polyphony, i need to post a clip. if i have the phrase looped and i cut it off as im cycling thru the sequence the sampler screeches and crashes, only on 4 pads though. i wonder if this will persist

Pretty expensive plus i'd have to ship to the UK! Those black ones would like nice on the SX tho i reckon
