Yes it is! I have restored it so it actually works now.
I have plans on sampling from it, just haven´t found a good sample yet.

Had to move all of my stuff to another room cause my siblings wanted the basement i was using. I also used to have 12 boxes of records but ive scaled it down to 4 and a half by going through every single record to see what i actually needed. I was able to sell the stuff i didnt need for some much needed rent money.

This thing is like the mpc got the crazy quick workflow of an sp. Choppin on that thing is crazy quick and you can have samples repeat quick enough you can use em as a synth or a bass synth. the only downside for me is that patterns have a 4 bar limit but ive already gotten past that.

Can you explain the 4 bar limit and work arounds?

basically for some reason it limits the patterns to be 4 bars long, think of like the basic kick, hihat, snare, hihat. two of those go in one bar so you can only loop that for 8 times. I have an 8 bar loop split into two patterns of 4 each, i use this to my advantage to have a variation of the first pattern or second patter so i can change up which i use to keep the beat fresh for longer.

You could halve the tempo to get 8 bars but the way it marks all the notes youve played on the lower 16 buttons on that bar, it means you cant really pair super quick hihats with a slow kick at half tempo. but the fact that you can individually mess with specific notes after youve entered em in to make em have crazy filters on one step and have a dry signal on another makes that totally worth it.

Thanks man, gonna have to take a deeper look. I can't fathom why companies leave out the song mode or pattern chain for such high priced gear. PO33 can chain and save pattern chains but bigger more expensive kit can't, wild.

^yeah, that DJS-1000 caught my eye too. Ill Green has one if I’m not mistaken. It definitely seems crazy that they would leave out pattern-chaining/song mode. Probably because Pioneer has that other unit that looks to have almost all the same functionality, save some slight rearranging of the pads and buttons, but is being marketed as a piece of “studio” gear - whereas this one is aimed at the DJ market.

Here’s the other one:
