Velocity Sensitive effect using the BPM looper

One feature i really wish they would of considered for this machine is Velosity Sensitive pads! I think its the one thing that separates this from the MPC most.

well, you can always resanple like 5 of the same hits at different volumes, but thats just time consuming and not so logical in terms of space.

but sometimes, if you get it right, you can get a velocity sensitive feel, when your playing a sequence and youve got the snare on the bpm looper effect.

The trick is that you gotta make it that the timing isnt directly on the snare hit. so it just cuts out some snare making it sound like an altogther different snare hit.

Just mess around, and you migt see what im talking about....

The thing I miss most is that you can't save the tempo per pattern and the lack of other time signatures.

with a mpd-16, mpd-24 or trigger finger you have velocity sensitive pads to work with on your 404

Jay, has your moog no midi ? Perhaps you could use the moog to do velocity sensitive data entry.

i just used my mpc 1000 as velocity sensitive pads for my 404

ah, so the 404 records the velocity information as MIDI data despite not being able to physically affect it?

then i will connect my midi-keyboard for delicate patterns

I dont like Velocity sensitive pads
but the 404 ones are really wobbly.
