Here’s a conversation point: I’ve always felt anonymous voting is totally cool. Why discourage anyone from voting for which beat they like just because they don’t want to go on record? I actually think it’s more fair and unbiased.

I agree with you 100%. I think the people that participated should at least say "voted" so it shows they actually followed through and participated in the whole battle.

But people taking the time to actually listen to the tracks and vote should not be required to post on why or who they voted for a track. I throw a vote in on most of these, and I sure as fuck don't need to "justify" the reason of why I voted for a track. I voted for it cause I liked it.

the reason for publicly stating who youre voting for is:::

a. to stop people from voting for themselves

b. stop double voting over multiple accounts

&

c. to make people more likely to compliment/criticize beats which is a big reason why a lot of people (myself included) enter the battles in the first place




these battles have been going on for a while now, and there are reasons for the rules ;]

These are weekly battles. Anyone one can start a new battle at anytime. Speaking of that what ever happened to the synth battles?

That being said, I can't imagine anyone would A) Vote for them-self or B) Take the time to create multiple accounts so that they could win an ongoing once a week battle.

What do they get out of it? They get to post up samples for the next round?

I'm currently leading in the vote, so if I am still winning when you decide to wrap this up, I nominate my vote of SPartacuz to pick the samples and host the next battle.
