Yo,
I have been trying to get that kind of drum sound https://swumbeats.bandcamp.com/album/illloud-2 (one of the 2 snares used on "strapped" and the snare/clap on "dubs") with that kind of slightly delayed, pitched-down clap but I can't get anywhere close. I tried all sorts of layers (rim and a clap, snare and a pitched down clap, snare and a pitched down-delayed clap, or a delayed snare etc...) and fx (radio tuning then to tape, depitching then radio tuning then to tape etc...). So what's the technique here ? Or is it just the samples used ? Thanks

Re: Getting that kind of delayed drums
it's a sample with a bunch of small hits
suppose a group of people claps and some of them are first and some of them are after that and some of them are last

Ok I think I get it, so layering some "long" claps and depitching should do the trick. Thanks !
