I've read through the manual and can't seem to find this info.

I have a 512 mb card in my sp606. It recognizes it and I can import audio files.

But the machine samples to the internal 16 mb memory.

Why is that and how can I sample to the compact flash card? In the manual it says that I can have up to 3 hours of sampling on my memory card, right now I only have 2 minutes which is frustrating.

How do I save all my audio samples and sequences and pattern banks and so on on my compact flash card instead of in my internal memory?

Basically you should choose any bank accept the first 4 banks if I'm not mistaken. Those first 4 are internal. But... I have to say, some samples still work on my SP-606 when I have my flashcard removed, so I'm not entirely sure either.

Patterns seem to be stored on internal memory by default and can be exported, but I don't know if you can also save them right onto a CF card for actual usage.

Its actually the first 9 are the internal and the rest are used on the card. I try and keep all my drums on the internal memory and use the card for whatever else I sample.

How do I clear all patterns and sequences so I can start fresh, without deleting all my system settings (delete all the patterns and shit whithout initiliasing the unit.)?

As far as I know you cant. You can go in and manually delete them but I am not sure if all the memory frees up, ( optimze the card ). My four track has that option, but not sure on the 606. If you find anything let me know. Peace

I think loading the factory presets is the only way to clear the internal stuff.. well, unless you overwrite it with something else of course.
