Thanks everyone for being active this week and selecting your characters!

Few things to attend to !

1. I'm not sure if LIF actually wanted in on this. I couldn't really tell by his og comment, but we'll see!

2. Bandit Lu ! Teewok ! Tournament capped at 20 people, it's easier to format.



BUT You should still make a track following the guidelines in case someone doesn't show up.

3. Speaking of format, I didn't realize that 16 is the perfect number for a tournament bracket. So were gonna have to have an elimination round to bring us down to 16.

We can also have a TAG T E A M ELIMINATION ROUND. Like we mentioned before.

It would also allow us to both collaborate w/ each other and also have a

WILD CARD R O U N D to bring the total number of people in the tournament bracket back to 16.

We can have a vote if you want. I think everyone's keeping an eye on the thread pretty well so shouldn't be a problem. OR we just go in for the long haul

TLDR : Tournament is gonna be a little longer, more fun, more music, more chair smashing. GET R E D Y and PAY ATTENTION TO THE ANNOUNCEMENTS on the OG post.

I'm down to go start the round as soon as Monday, just to give people time to check the post. But, might as well start gathering your material now if you haven't already.

Tentative Deadline for ELIMINATION ROUND O N E : 6/22
We can change this if you guys want to make it go faster or need more time.

I'll schedule the rest of the tournament accordingly.

I'll put up polls for each group day of the deadline and the person with least votes will either now move on or go to wildcard round. Everyone has to vote on each group.

We can decide between now and then to decide if we wanna have tag team/ wildcard round or not.

man u are invent incredible! so i think we can make wild card round for guys, who do not fall into a beautiful number of participants for the tournament. more people who wants enjoy=more beats=more fun. and about deadline, if I get you right... one beat per half year? this would be so long i think

We can have every round take place weekly if everyone can get stuff done in time.



w/ NO wild card round @ 2 week per round = 10 Weeks = 2.5 months

w/ NO wild card round @ 1 week per round = 5 weeks = 1.25 months

WITH wild card round @ 2 week per round = 14 weeks = 3.5 months

WITH wild card round @ 1 week per round = 7 Weeks = 1.75 months

All of these include the 1st elimination round




I think the elimination round deadline is still good.

It'll give us a chance to see whos actually in on this, and gives them 2+ weeks to show that. after that we can switch it up to 1 week, or keep it 2 week to give everyone time. Whatever works for everyone, can make a poll for this too.



Any tournament with 16 people would go on for min : 4-8+ weeks though.



But everyone, including people who arent in the 20 listed, can make something and we'll go from there.

I suggest that 2 weeks per round and maybe 5 days for voting is a good amount of time... also, I like the idea of all the tracks being presented at the same time when voting happens.. would this be possible if everyone privatized their soundcloud entries until the first day of voting?

I don't know anything about wrestling & not sure if this is the same for all wrestlers, but my wrestler has 1 entrance song (at least that's all I can find).

This works fine for round 1, but really curious what ideas any of you have for future beats that have to do with our wrestler.

And I know if all beats were based off entrance music, this wouldn't be very creative, but as far as I can tell, the full tournament would need 5-7 different beat ideas. A ton of creative people on this board, so I'm sure we'll think of something just thought I would throw that out there to maybe get the wheels turning.

So far I thought of -
1) Using the entrance music of an opponent of our wrestler
2) Making a beat based off our wrestlers name -I got BASS in my name, but I would feel for someone like Arn Anderson

& yes, sounds from a wrestling match & vocals, but these seem to be more of extras that get thrown in. Hhmmmm.....

I'm gonna create a couple polls for things we need to decide between now and the tentative due date for the elimination round.

I was thinking.

M a y b e we could have a side round for the winners of the tag team battles/ elimination round 1 group winners.

That way there's both a week where you're not taking a break.

And maybe we can give out some sort of bonus to the winners of that side round.

Calling it BONUS round.

anyways, say you're one of the winners of the bonus round, you get some random 1 time option of doing something in the tournament like, giving your opponent -30 seconds to use in their beat.

OR

allowing a 30 second part from someone who was eliminated kinda like in wrestling when a third party shows up out of nowhere nd helps you.
