Yeah sounds good bro, I don't actually know the original beat but I like how it sounds. Is this one of them ones that you don't add any drums?

haha, madlib actually didn't add any drums in his version, but i did in mine
i wanted it to be subtle enough so that the listener couldn't tell though, because i was aiming to recreate the original!! i just wanted to make the quality and clarity of my instrumental good!
i added a kick and a snare only, then EQed the hi end to bring the hi hats out slightly more (-:

it was really fun to make this beat ( even though i made it in fl lol which is something i haven't been able to say in a long time ) because madlib's chops are so damn crazy!! it was like figuring out a puzzle, really cool
