what methods is everybody using?
i bought a sonic exciter .. behringer to be exact . initially got it to bring extra depth to a stereo mix . since then i decided to use it on vocals .. to bring the natural warmth of a vocal . more reecent i run a mono beat through it .. really gives that low end richness on bass . note . used correctly .. and if youre going to balance the high end also at a later point in time . i use left channel for beat .. and the right for vocals . harmonic boost on beats .. very sparringly on vocals though . kind of a 2 channel mixer
very cheap .. but well worth it ~£90
i think its considerred a 'masterring tool' .
would love to own 1 of them masterring rigs ( if i could ever justifying the purchase )
