SCSI-to-USB ?
Would it be possible to get an SCSI-to-USB cable and connect the SCSI port directly to your PC for file transferring? Obviously you'd need the wav converter app to convert the files, but once they are in the right format would it be possible to directly transfer files to the 808 pads with this method?

Nope. It won't work.
