So this EP was made entirely with the two devices. Samples on the SP-404A are chord stabs I sampled from my electribe 2, as well as some short vocal samples. The TR-8 is sequencing the SP-404A. They work quite well together as the scatter functions will trigger the sounds on the pad banks and the faders on the TR-8 will control the sample volume of the samples... so fading in chords was quite easy.
I fed the audio of the SP-404A into the TR-8 so I could duck the kick drum, and apply scatter effects to the entire mix.
