hi there

I have a MS-1 and I love it's simplicity and constraints too.
It is indestructible and so straightforward I would never want to
leave it now.

Tough I have a firmware problem too. I tried to upload the mid file
distributed on the roland site and it has never worked out.
My MS-1 is in coma ever since then.
I am pissed off and angry because this is really an awsome machine.

Does anyone know where a correct mid file (with firmware that works properly)
could be found? Any firmware would be welcome.

Did you have a similar experience?

Could anyone help please.

Yep, same issue here in Belgium.

I noticed on Rolandclan, EVERYONE has that problem.

Not funny :-(

i wisjh I could help, I wont ever update my MS-1

but wait, is there anyway to delay the midi file? I remember updating something via sysex and it didn't work and bricked the hardware if there was no delay (like 15ms)

They seem to pop up on eBay pretty frequently. Pair it with a multi track recorder and you are well on your way to being DAW free my friend.

Getting one for $80+tax, but they seem to be rare, so why not? The 4 different sample modes sound gritty already.

I just bought a modded MS-1, my 2nd ms tho. The mod is a pot for changing the clock sync which changes the sampling rate. I’ll try to record something with it and post it up here.
