Re: SPBB #254 P O L L
seezesea came thru with The Glitch Experience. Good stuff!
Teewok- Bruh, are you trying to go for the HAT TRICK? (3 wins in a row?) Beat was fire!!!
LoopmantrA-Damn, I thought I was in the Matrix or some type of Sci Fi flick. This was smooth. I like the drum loop. The djfx looper gets hated on from time to time here in the arena, but I thought it complemented the beat real nice. It was NOT overused! Nice work!
k´rüöl---Wooo!! I dig this my dude, can we get an english translation on the vox?! Sounds like the whole beat was put together on the 202--The beat is covered in dust! SICK SICK STUFF!!
l i f---always creating these sounds from the box I never even dreamed of making. The space in between all the sample is dope! Amazing as always L I F!
EndorShores-MOZZZZ on the hook! Beat was dope, only thing, I thought it was going to come in with a change up. It did for a split second but then went back to the reverse style drum beat. Still, a nicely put together track!
SHARRIS- is making a name for herself real quick here in the arena! A force to be reckoned with! Nice chops on the drums! That tambourine(?) is dope! Super smooth, it complements the dark samples real nice!!
Tough decisions as always!
I voted Teewok. I think Teewok IS going for the Hat Trick. Thanks to Teewok for putting this all together, had a great time.
Very close to voting for k´rüöl he gets the SILVER!

Re: SPBB #254 P O L L
Man some wicked beats here....like i said in the original post earlier, makes me mad I didn't take it more seriously, and spent more time....'cause I literally did it in 20 minutes, therefor it's pretty straightforward, no intro, build up of dynamics, etc. - just goofed around..
Which is, kind of, a reason why my vote goes to Teewok - it's a complete track, love the build up and especially the closure at the end, plus - it's a killer tune, man, SERIOUSLY - been hummin' it for days. Hats off !
Hard decision, 'cause I really loved most of them..
JOHNSONDONTSURF nailed me with the reverse thing, spooky tune bro
seezesea - dude.....DUDE that shit 0:17 and 0:26..... fuckin' hell man.
k´rüöl - LOUDER GODDAMNIT... too good of a beat to leave the output so low man...
l i f - spacey,trippy.. personally, I hated the hihats, too loud for my taste lol - think Id''d pitchshifted it down too...but, the track in general was great
EndorShores - same thing as JOHNSONDONTSURF - you both reminded me of using the reverse option, which is funny 'cause I use to fiddle with it before, but not as much nowadays. Loved the track too, 'twas good
Sharris - man...that bass line...you blew me,honestly. This was my second pick. For a moment (guess it's the chord structure and bass line itself) reminded me of Amon Tobin, and I fkn love AT.. Gonna go for Teewok's, just because it stuck with me momentarily..But this is def. a second best
Thanks for the kind words y'all....
Peace

JohnsonDontSurf-Yeah reverse steez! Like how it changed up into a dope bassline with the cool hat scratches.
Seezesea-Like the Vox cuts. Nice Use of looper and effects. Smooth.
Teewok- Winner of Best Named Track. Like the sample with that rollercoaster sounding shit blended. Cool Breakdown.
LoopMantra-Cool man microwaves are where it's at. Nice use of Looper for variation. Boss. Cool use of Vox. Well Done my Fav so Far.
k'ruol- Nice Intro. Drums are sick. Oh shit spitting, okay. Really Digging this. Sick use of the breathing, uhhh. Grimey.
Lif- Nice way to filter that sample to get that bass hitting nasty. Squelchy. Cool changeup, nice stretching. My new favorite so far.
Sharris- Cool use of the little sounds in the sample. Nice subtle looper. Like that pad sound you came up with. Nice way to capture the Walking Dead Vibe Dope.
Gave it to Lif. Great job everyone hope to have time for next one.

Re: SPBB #254 P O L L
johnsondontsurf's beat had a nice scary type vibe.. def channeling simon and negan here lol.. thought it was ill
seezesea's beat had a really nice melody. Was humming that for a bit after
Loopmantra had a marching/going to war feel. Was really clean and the drums sounded nice
k´rüöl had cool vibe too it. loved the way those drums bounced. Rapping sounded dope too even though I didn't understand lyrics. Heard "SP" in there
l i f's beat was awesome. Flipped the shit out of samples - bass sounded real good... also nice when u brought in the strings
endorshores' beat was dope! that modulated bass sounded real cool.
Sharris' beat sounded real street! Chops and melody were on point
Everyone brought it this round. Vote goes l i f. His beat prob the coolest and most original of the bunch.

Zendan cant say he doesnt like the sample.......but someone can change his post & talk shit? Your a twisted goofy mutherfucker.

Re: SPBB #254 P O L L
wow... don't dig the kerfuffins goin on here either.
anyway:
johnson: big sound! suited and jelled with the aca really well. creative use of the scratch samples... not easy to emulate scratching on an sp.
Seezesea: best for me was the skipping hihatsnarebass pattern, cool beatstyle... contrasted well with the melodic pattern.
Teewok: structure and layering. clean af mix too. sh*t!
loopmantra: I know what you mean... great start to it to establish a theme. Lost me halfwayjust... when he's asking me to stop asking what he's done, I'll respect that; and then he'll stop asking me to stop asking him, you get what I mean?
k´rüöl: damn swing...!! Good, good sh*t. agree with others it woulda been the bangengest with more volume/punch in the mix!
endor: I think this is my fav loop so far... like the use of forward/reverse creates kinda of a breathing in the beat. then Mos comes in... timing and fit is okay, but somehow it feels like he just walked into the wrong room..?
sharris: stayed true to the zombieapocalypsevibes... love that of everyone you were the one that did cut with the female character... at the same time I think it's a bit sad that you were the only one who was willing to use that "you don't know sh*t" quote.
l i f: thanks for feedback everyone.. i can agree that the sample wasn't the easiest to work with. Actually, zombie's as a cultural expression in general is kinda a pet-peeve for me personally, but I was pleased enough to get a track together that wasn't too depressingly moody. I can agree with loopmantra that there was some violence in the hats, but I'll say just that they were slaying the undead
VOTE:
k´rüöl
because I see from the soundcloud url/track title that he did it all in the box, which could explain why the mix wasn't maybe as loud or punchy as everyone elses. And damn ya'll if it wasn't the best drumbeat in this round.

Hehe........your beat was great too lif! Really good. I feel inadaquit (cant spell) in these battles...... but i love it, goin against talent will help me grow
Fyi, i did it all in the box.....just the sx......no mastering or anything......
i thought we were supposed to do it all on an sp? Thats the way i listened to all the beats, as if they only used an sp.
