Let’s change the name of the forums to “the warm sound research group” & apply for government funding so we can all rock some dope chroma caps!
I hear they really warm up the sound on the newer digital model SP’s.

you have to find the pics on an image hosting website like photobucket or upload your own to the website then copy the url that's used for forumsSharris wrote:I didn't know that (about chicken). & how are you postin pics Hungryman? Yeah, I guess I deserve that. Was trying to be pragmatic but sounded like a fool. Thanks.

There are so many ways to look at things & so many different personality types on forums.
I don't think you sounded like a fool, I took it as you were just sticking up for a newcomer..........& tho you might have been reaching a bit in order to do so, your intentions were good.......I thought it was hilarious when you brought up warm as having, showing, or expressive of enthusiasm, affection (hilarious in a good way

Nah bro. Ur points where valid. I’m not calling anyone out. I think there was plenty of truth on both sides of this discussion. I’m just sayin... we have totally & completely covered this topic. So much so, that if anyone googles “warm sound” in the next 48 hrs this is probably where they will end up.Kegeratorz wrote:Ghost Bazz wrote:Let’s change the name of the forums to “the warm sound research group” & apply for government funding so we can all rock some dope chroma caps!

Let’s all agree not to post anything about warm sounding hardware & what constitutes a warm sound for like 3... maybe 4 weeks.

Based on looking online, the consensus is that warmth has to do with harmonic distortion. Bass bumps, at times, come with the territory when adding warmth (reel to reel) but low frequency bumps do not necessarily equate to warmth.
Which this in mind in regards to the SP, the vinyl sim is an effect one can use to achieve some sort of "warmth"
I also noticed that the phrase is not quite defined properly amongst musicians.
