I dont care if no ones heard of the band SOMEONE has heard of them and i bet from and outside-of-hiphop perspective, it would be looked at as stealing.
very entertaining thread.. but it seems, zenanisdead, that you have lost all credibility on this site lol. you have straight up gods of this forum telling you whats good, and youre going "no im right trust me i go ham with the 303"
like this whole debate went from you trying to expose beat thieves, to just trying to convince everyone that you go harder than most with an sp. pretty wack
yeah i wasn't paying attention to the join dates or who any of the people talking shit were
but fr i do go ham with the 303
i can't prove it yet bc i'm not ready to release this album i've been working on for 2 years yet (which is dumb, i just should've released it all on soundcloud but i was scared people would just steal my beats so i'm going to release it on cassette)
but it's gonna be tite
i have a few 303 beats on my soundcloud but i think it's all lofi

If I spend two weeks making a vinyl sampled raw 303 sampler beat and someone just jacks that shit with no credit? it makes me want to quit making music altogether. sick world we live in

The links arent working.. seems like i missed my oppurtunity to hear/jack the most legendary 303 beats of all time... seriously tho it is super wack to steal other peoples beats... as an artist you have to be a psychopath to be proud of artwork that has ur name on it but you didnt create... didnt even remix it just straight jacked it... also if you are claiming to be a major innovator but really all you are doing are things that have been done for decades , thats pretty wack too... 10cc recorded themselves singing multiple octaves of vocally sung notes on individual tape reels and used their old school mixing board to create chord voicings basically making their own personal mellotron... brian eno and david byrne physically spliced together different pieces of tape reels to make one of the most legendary sample albums ever... a 303 is way closer to automatically programming ur drums in FL studios than you would think. The key to making music (for me anyways) is having no desire to get notoriety or money or fame from it. Just make it.. if someone is soulless enough to steal ur shit thats on them/ if you are good enough to have someone steal ur shit and you really do care about what others think... take some comfort in knowing people wanna rap on ur shit. This thread is great

Cool.. Thanks for clearing that one up...
Tbh... I think Ninja was on point. Like... just do your shit, take care of what you like the way you can and make friends in the process lol.
And I don't know if this was pointed out since I did not read all the six pages (just three XD), but Tom Jobim isn't irrelevant and I'm speaking as a Brazilian lol
