202 buzzing while recording

recently picked up a 202, but whenever i try to record, seems like some sort of signal interference. anybody else hear this hum

wouldn't say it drowns out the recording but its certainly noticeable

It's probably a grounding issue.

Try using batteries instead of an adapter.

unfortunately it seems to persist no matter what power source or recording mode it's in. i've initiated a return, but should i return it? was a snag, but i feel like nowadays its getting increasingly difficult to find one

ay mine does this too, but it's not really that bad or noticeable at all? have you ever hooked your sp up to monitor speakers then turned your sp and the speakers all the way up??? it's like that sound but quieter. like really quiet and unnoticeable at all after the beat is made because i mean there's already so much hiss from the records and tape and sp itself and everything already

also mine is fucking mint so i'm pretty sure it's a normal thing?

Do you get interference when you playback? When you record in theres always a hum but when you play back it should be almost non existent...
