unfortunately this the state of affairs . only difference you caught the guy in the act . you gotta think though .. all the samples Hip Hop been using . how do you think the orig artists might feel.

on the flipside . message the guy to credit you ( and link people to your music page/social media . if not . get his account hacked if Soundcloud arent helping .

it could lead to a positive collab unless the guy is straight posting up other people's beats as his own

.. plenty of artists dont clear the samples . especially if its some rare foreign ish . Madlib Beat konducta in India . imagine getting clearance for that body of work ..

if someone files a lawsuite .. just gotta settle the dispute . often out of court ( unless the original artists has reservations . or is a complete arsewhole . it depends on individual scenario)

You can file a DMCA complaint directly with soundcloud and they will remove the beat based on your upload date vs his.

You will be certifying in the complaint that he infringed on your copyright laws and that you own full copyright of the beat in question. I have had to fill these out for articles of mine and they are very simple.

When you agreed to their TOU you already agreed that you have full control and rights over what you uploaded, so what's another lie on top of it? They will have no reason to follow up any further. Unless the person that you sampled from files a complaint as well (against you), at which point you are pretty much f*cked.

Do as above and politely message him to include your name and link in his description, if he gives no response then slander the hell out of him all over the internet and facebook, or file the proper complaint. Other's can not help you get him "banned".

None of us own any of the stuff we are putting up on these sites.

Yeah that's not really the same thing. Regardless of the legality of what he did its just some lame biting shit. He could at least give credit. If any rapper wanted to rap on one of my sample beats I'd be totally fine with it if they asked and gave credit but if someone just jacked my beat I put hours into and called it their own I'd be pissed too. Integrity.
Maybe look into watermarking your stuff zendan, I don't know much about it other that it is possible so might be something worth doing knowing thieving peices of shit like that are out there. Fuck that guy and his lame ass rhymes!
