All,
Mostly following suit of the last battle with a few slight changes, please see the rules below brought forth by Ghost Bazz and I.

RULES
-beat style hip hop, underground, lo-fi, or downtempo

-must use synths as the main instruments and sounds (definition of “synth” to include all soft-synths, virtual synths, or general synth/electronic-instrument setting on any sound module, groovebox etc.)

-time limit 1:30

-Free for all on the drums (samples, drum machines, slappin' your kid for spilling koolaid on the carpet, etc.)

-All sounds, drum and synth sampled into and sequenced on SP's. If you need to bounce out to other units that is fine, just be realistic.

-A vocal sample must be used (rhyming, singing, vocal stabs, one liner loops, scratching, accapella etc.)

Due by Sunday the 11th.

Must we understand that :
- resampling method isn't authorized ?
- drum or synth parts can't be played on the synth itself ?
So just sampling single sounds and playing them on the sp ?

Saladolar - Yes, resampling is fine, however you prefer to make the track as long as it is contained in a sp(s) .
Some do not have 2 sp's or sp's that resample, so I'm saying if you need to record out to another unit, lets say to combine your drums etc. to open back up your pads that is fine. Just be realistic meaning, don't bounce into your MPC, rechop, edit, etc and then send it back to the sp.

-If you can play Beethoven's 5th symphony on some EMX keys while sampling in to the SP, then by all means do it! I just don't want the synths being programed/sequenced on the EMX for example then sampled in to the sp.

Hopefully that clears it up.
