hacking 303/404..frankensampler?

hello all,

I'd be surprised if this hasn't been brought up before, but I did some searching, and came up with not much-

about me, I started with a 303 and still love using it, but while it sounds great, it's (relatively) slow, limited pad-wise, and for memory-

so- 404! great pads, it's fast, and holds a lot more sound than the 303-

that said, I seem to gravitate more toward the sound of the 303. and, I don't like the 404 fx.

so (again), I wonder- can a person like me have the best of both 303 and 404 worlds? is it possible to put the 303 processor in a 404 body?

I feel like I can't be the only one who would be interested in this sort of thing..has it been done? link?

unless you got a spare 1 of each and a good knowledge of circuitry ..

i guess all you gotta do is bounce your tracks to 303 for them fx ( on the way in .. and on the way back to the 404) ..
