If sampling in the drums slot it auto slices, in the melodic slots there one shots that when selected are chromaticly assigned to all buttons. Like my old MPC 500 12 levels. Dope!

One the videos mentions you can adjust swing, so it should sound fine. Volca Sample can sound similarly stiff but the swing setting actually does its job there at least.
Personally I was wondering about the lack of changing sample speed. Sampling to melodic scales the sample to all buttons sure, but you can't fine tune it apart from tempo+pitch combo'ing apparently.
