Export samples

Post by bib993 »

Hi
Is it possible to export samples to a PC as .wav?
I have an SP-505 with a lot of samples in the memory card. I don't have the original samples on my PC, so I would like to export all the samples to my PC so I can re-import them into another sampler (Digitakt...yes, I have betrayed Roland!). Is is worth buying a card reader to try?

If you have an audio interface or if your PC has a microphone input , you can use whatever DAW you have or audacity to record the samples coming from your 505. For my 303 (to save my drums) I plug a 1/4 inch into the headphone port and then the other end into my interface and record into Logic. Hope this helps

Of course I can resample each and every sample manually. I was wondering is there was a quick and easy way to export all samples as .wav at once. Seems like I'll have to do it all manually resampling hundreds of samples!

Well , sounds like a card reader is your best bet.
