Adjusting/Changing Quantization, OG SP-404

Post by __ty_lake »

Hey! This is baby's first post.

I'm hoping there's a trick for changing the quantization of a pattern AFTER recording the pattern.

I've got a pattern that was quantized to 32nd notes that I want to change to 16th note quantization. Is there a way to do this without re-recording the pattern?

It seems like you can change the quantization but that it only affects newly recorded material added to the pattern.

Anyone??

I don't think so, you can erase the pad for the loop and record it again without having to record the hwole pattern again

I have the 404sx & you can't change the quantize settings after it's laid down, I'm pretty sure it's the same on the og 404. You might already know, but a few ideas: If you have air before the sound, mess with the start point to adjust where it lands in the sequence. Or if you only want to change the quantizing of a few sounds, delete just those sounds & put em back in under the quantize setting you want.
