Hi there,
First of all hello to everyone, I am new to this forum, and thank you for your posts that have been helpful since I recently got an SP-404 SX. I am setting up a live set at the moment and here is my problem :
I have a CD player playing my tracks, and going into the input of my SP to use its effects on the tracks. I have several sounds on the pads of my SP to be triggered when I want. The thing is, I only want to have the effects of the SP applied on the input (CD player), and never on the sounds that are on the pads... But each time I press a pad, when I next turn on en effect, the effect will apply on the last played pad ! I know I can press remain and hit the "ext source" button to have the effects applied on my CD player, but is there any way to have the effects locked on the input only ? I'm afraid it will get complicated if I have to tell my SP each time I press en effect, that I only want that effect to be applied on the input... Don't know if I am clear.
Thank you for your help !

Re: Locking effects on Input only
The effect will always be applied to the last pad hit. I think you would need another SP unless i’m not being creative enough with signal flow.

I'm not entirely sure but I guess that holding the REMAIN button and then selecting only the EXT SOURCE and none of the pads could do the trick

Yeah, you want to just 1. hold remain 2. click the recently played pad to turn off effect on it and then 3. click ext source to apply effect
