My vote went to Green Dutch. I don't know why, but I really dig how you did the cymbal thingy. Overall just a good flip ofcourse.

Close runners up were Noddy (made a totally different flip!!), Matt In A Hat (great drum programming/sequencing/whatever it's called!) and Durdy (really liked the way you composed your whole track).

But everyone did a nice job. Always liking the variety everyone brings to the table.

All entries dope, durdy got the nod though. Green Dutch and Matt in the hat where close runners up. Sweet samples this round, just closed on a new house and like an asshole decided to make it a project. Pretty soon I'll just make a beat and not excuses. Great job fellas.

Good shit all around! Went with Matt for the drums. It was a tough choice between the last 4 on the list.

Nice beats all around. also noticed some variety in the SP used which was cool... 505, 606, 808, 404, 404SX

seezesea - eerie vibe. I really liked your chops and the slight offness about it
noDDy hEAded - this one sounds like it came from a SNES game like some industrial level or something lol. nice beat
Chopperman - this one was nice and upbeat. crazy variety througout. def felt like a "journey"
krzexwo - this one had a really nice bounce to it... really liked some of the stabs at the end of the bars. nice job
Matt in a hat - this was real nice. Made me feel like I was preparing for battle or something
Durdy - Crazy use of the voice sample... the wah wahs were a nice touch..
Green Dutch - Loved the use of the voice sample again. Beauty variety in the beat
k´rüöl - Liked the melodies you pulled together towards the 2nd half of the beat... very dope.

Very hard for me to decide. Going with Durdy. Very well put together.

Alright ya fucks!

I should be working on my podcast right now but I friggin' love ya guys and lately there's been a lot of heat being posted on these battles... So here are my two cents:

seezesea - very "floaty" has a nice bounce to it. could use some more elements besides the vocals and the drums. add some vocal chops to this and you got yourself a banger.
noDDy hEAded fREak - woooh those synths are coming in hot. drums are pretty low though.
teewok - Goddamn it Tee, this shit is good.. It's really well mixed and produced. Was this strictly SP or did you use other stuff?
Chopperman - sounds choppy and sequenced
krzexwo - damn! sounded basic af first but then the bass hit. fuck yeah, i can hear the limitations of the sp. great job mang.
Matt in a hat - this a proper beat mang. well done, better than most but kind of basic.
Durdy - This was cool. I liked how you turned into a story by using samples and made an actual song instead of just a beat.
Green Dutch - Not really feeling how the drums are looped. The kick hits but the whole beat sounds sequenced. I did however liked how the song was arranged.
k´rüöl- yeaaaa lo-fiiiii! lol this is dope. minimal but still, i started dancing which is more than most of these beats did for me.

ugh it's a tie between krzexwo and k´rüöl for me.

*relistens*

Ugh, it's a close one but I think k´rüöl takes it. I dug the intro and the arrangement of the song. I can clearly hear an SP being used.

gj everybody! :D

Wow 3-way tie lol. Can anyone break this?

If not, i suggest the winners collaborate on samples for the next battle? or decide on someone to take it on...

Congrats to everyone. Beats were all on point. Really enjoyed this one!

three way tie!

each of the winners should post a sample to chop and a sample for drums in this thread, and then one of them create the thread for SPBB#242
