Maschine export sounds awful!!!

Post by grvph. »

guys, i want some help from the Maschine heads out there !!
ive been rocking with Maschine for like 8 months now and from the very beginning i had some difficulties with the export of my master track...

When i play the beat in mashine it sounds dope as fuck! but when i export it and play it as a wav. file it sounds like shit, like the highs are very crappy and it sounds awfully compressed. i export them in 16bit, 44.1Hz...
A friend told me it may be the speakers, im rolling with some old ass Hi-Fi Sony speakers connected with my Home Theater system which is connected to my PCs input via the standard cable. Is anybody willing to help or give me some tips? thanks in advance!! :)

(I've seen some stuff online, like lower the Master Volume between -2.0 and -3.0 but it didn't seem to be the problem and i couldnt find something further)

I know it's been an old thread, but are you sure the output volume isn't simply too hot making things clip? That's usually the reason why things cut off in the highs after an export.

Also, as a more general remark if you've sampled or sequenced in a higher bitrate and frequency, do remember that anything that is within those higher frequencies might actually disappear if you convert it to something lower.

I export from maschine and have not heard any serious or noticeable degradation of the sound. I am using a Mac.

Yeah, I think it is probably a clipping issue of some kind, because I've never had issues either. Also on Mac here.

yes . for some reason I've always felt the exported audio didn't have the same bang it appeared to have whilst playing from the DAW .

could be mind tricks . or could be the export file resolution/ bitrate settings
