Music to the computer.

Anyone know the smoothest way to record what you have made on the 404, and get it recorded onto your computer?

get a decent soundcard, the ones that come with the computer are usually terrible

a nice external soundcard will sit next to the computer and you can plug lines in and out

so plug the output of the sp-404 into your soundcard, then use a program such as Audacity to record whatever your 404 is outputting. adjust the levels so it's not peaking, and you're good to go

Audacity is a free app:

You propably need a cable like this

Image

Plug the two RCA ends to your 404 line out and the other miniplug
end to your computers line-in, aux in or whatever it's called.

If you're using Windows you need to go to the control panels sound
settings and make the "line-in" you're source for recording stuff.

Should be easy. I don't know where you live but those cables should be
very easy to find. Just ask for 2 x RCA to Miniplug cable.
