Sampling From Vinyl Through Pioneer Mixer

Hi, im having some trouble sampling from my turntable into my 404sx as the sample always comes out incredibly quiet. I have my Technics 1210 mk2 plugged into a Pioneer DJM250. On the back of the mixer i use the "record" output to plug into my SP. Am i doing something wrong or is there another way to boost the signal strength such as an audio interface?

not sure but you might need to use headphone out into so. some rca outputs don't project high noise vol

Are the levels correct? Have you checked the gain and the master out volumes? How are you monitoring the sound? Have you tried recording from the booth/master out instead?

On DJ mixers the record out are usually ~10dB lower to avoid clipping when recording, and the level is independent from the master out and cannot be changed.
Use the headphone out with a jack-RCA cable, or any line level output what you don't need (master2/booth), so you can set the output signal level for your needs.

get a pre amp. that will help amplify the sound. alot of dj mixers have pre amps in them already.
