Loop dropouts and effect buzzing

Post by Pip Molinsky »

Hey,

so I was working on a beat last weekend when my 303 began to act strange. I first noticed that there were dropouts when playing multiple loops simultaneously. I played three four bar mono loops and one of them always dropped out randomly at about bar 3 or so. It wasn't choked though and joined the other loops perfectly in time on bar 1 of the next iteration.

Also when applying effects to all pads I get some strange noises. The effect is audible but gets interrupted by clicking and buzzing. Sounds similar to a celly near a speaker. After it happened once it won't go back. No matter which effect or whether I use on on, multiple or all pads. After turning the SP off and on again it's gone.

Does that sound familiar to any of you?
Maybe it's just the smart media card.

I got no idea on 303 but yesterday I was checking on one sold on ebay.it had a similar issue which stopped when you turned the sp off and back on. That guy told it's probably the software, which you can download n reinstall through roland's site.you might need to plug your card on your computer using a card reader, probably its not that difficult though.try digging on older threads in this section you might find something
