Finally copped an SP! it is the black and gold one, i heard these are rare? maybe you guys can comment on that.

Im in japan so i thought one way to avoid import and shipping costs is to buy one here!

I don't really know where to put this, but since it talks about SP, I will put it in here. See, I just got my SP404SX too. I want to know whether it's only 16-bit sample that can be transfer to this 'lil beast?

Correct. 16bit wav or aiff. In the manual page 49.
