sp404sx with a power bank?

yo!

i wonder if anyone here is using their sp404sx with a portable power bank? you know one of those that you can charge your cellphone with.

if so, what kind of cable are ya using? i just ordered a 9v cable but it doesn't seem to work. :/

Search "battery pack" on these forums and you'll find a bunch of info. You may need to reverse the polarity of the plug, as the SP is centre negative. Most generic 9v stuff is centre positive.

yes it's the wrong cable. As I said above, you need to switch the polarity of the plug. The SP needs the centre (hole) of the power plug to be negative, and the outside to be positive. I think you can get an adapter to do this, or just cut the cable and reverse the wires at the plug end (some solder and heat shrink would be useful here). I haven't found a USB TO 9V adapter that is centre negative by default yet. Is the SP still working ok? Apparently attaching reverse polarity can damage the unit.

oh, then i won't try using it. so there's no cable for this yet to the 404sx?

did you read the threads i posted? i use a 9v to USB Cable with a powerbank all the time for SP-404SX/OG/303/202. the cable came from myvolts.com (now out of stock since i posted this on the Forums ) but they created a new cable called "Ripcord" Google it

Do you know which ones are the best power banks in India? To be true, even I wasn’t aware about them until I read reviews at Reviewstation.in so it is the easier way to know about the best powerbank that suits my pocket size.
