pad prints fading

I bought my 404sx like 6 months ago brand new and have somehow already managed to fade off the print of pads 9-12 and numerous others have started as well. I have been constructing everything on the SP itself and I definitely catch myself jamming a little too enthusiastically on the pads but I just feel they dissapeared waay too fast, I've seen used and abused 404 ogs with every number still boldly printed. Any advice on the matter?

Haha I wrap my sampler up with sandwich wrap or put it in a plastic bag and punch the knobs through its good because dust doesnt get in the buttons either
