Problems with format

Hi guys.

I'm new here and i don't know if it's the right place to post this but i didn't find another better section for it.

Just bought an sp-404 like two weeks ago and yesterday started to import some wav files from my computer to the machine. First, everything was working fine, but when i decided to format the sd card from the SP, when i put it in the computer the folder name wasn't FUGUEFAT anymore, the name was FQGQEBAP and the folders inside also changed their names in a similar way. I tried to put the samples in there and import them to the machine, like nothing happened, but the sp doesn't recognize any files.

I thought that maybe i broke the card closing the machine badly (i don't remember doing this) so i bought another one. The surprise is that when i format this new card, FQGQEBAP appears again on the folder name.

I've searched for this error but i can't find any case like this one. Does anybody know anything about it?

1. Wrong place, shoulda been in 404 tips and tricks
2. Did you format the card in the 404?
3. Try formatting the card on the 404
I will have better advice when I get home to experiment with my own 404.

4. what card(s) are you using.

you need the sp404sx wave converter application to import/export files from the sd
you have to format the sd with the sp

I've already fixed the problem, don't know exactly how. I've format the card again in the sp404 and then put it in another computer and suddenly FUGUEGAT appeared again.
