methods of recording
yo i think we shoud have a section dedicated to ur recording methods. u would only share secrets if needed but for the most part pro tools users could mesh with each other easier than going to that site. it would elevate topics further by being able to absorb the differences in sound from two cats that share the same interest. dont know if this makes any sense but i think it would eliminate the need to go to other sites... peace

yeah id like to keep it all sp related but in world of mpc's we gotta school these cats somehow on the skills we got as sp users and recording tricks might present that edge, ya know. we work with limitations until they become "unlimited" features...peace

A "methods of recording" area would be cool since there are so many ways to bring that sweet sp nectar to the people. Computer vs 8-Track, Digital vs Analog, etc.
Personally, I'm rolling with a Tascam DP-01fx 8-track. Lately I've been getting burned out on having to bounce down tracks to make room for more parts so I was actually thinking about taking the SP tracks into Ableton Live. Anyone go that route?
Current setup is a SP-555, a Yamaha RM1x, a turntable, mixer, and 8-track.
