Hold button turning off

Hi

I have had my sp404sx for a few years now and it has had very light use.
I have picked it up for live use again recently for use with my own samples and for some reason the hold button turns off after about 30 seconds, therby switching off the looping pattern.

Any ideas why?

It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure it has to do with the playback mode of the pad ie; one shot, momentary, or loop. Play with that and you'll probably fix the issue. The spirits tell me this is right
