R.I.P. 2014 and all the dope lofi that was around then and a couple years before, and maybe a year or 2 after.

So many to list, SLF Tapes and stuff that spun off that.

Wish could hit rewind, and pause to that time in hip hop (same goes for like the 92/93 days, for the ol' folk like me).
But just seeing the post resurected gave me an "ahh" moment while sippin' my Guinness.

Those were the days.

Alternative hip-hop was never about "the scene".

All the real heads will keep making dope music for the love of it. Not just because it's trendy or in vogue. These things a cyclical.. I welcome this new phase.

As for DG,
I have him as a contact on KIK, I'll hit him up and see what's up.

I have that Garbotapes release somewhere in my archives. Not sure if it was ever released or not but I made a video for it;

Seems like a lot of old heads will come back. You're probably right about it not reaching the height of that era, but I don't think it's all doom and dread. Just cycles in and out as peeps try to survive and grow. The Anime beats/ lofi exploitation sucks, but still a lot of good shit being released from SP related ish that isn't watered down. Even with the growing price of Sps, It always super easy to get back on the wagon. Saw that CULP and DP were making stuff again just recently hopefully there will be a new wave to ride in. We just need to keep
positive and this forum flourishing and the rest will work it self out.

Also Don Goldman is dope. Would love you hear the second tape. Still listen to the first one quite ab it
