hi there! new to production and the sp-404sx.
just bought the unit and want to use it right away. as of now, i don't have headphones so i've been using a 1/8" mono jack to 1/4" stereo plug headphone adapter with my earphones. there's only sound coming out of one side which alternates every time i plug it back it. would anyone know if this is the unit messing up or the adapter? already tried two earphones, same problem. when i use them on something else they work just fine.. also hear a slight crackling when i use them with the sp. please help!

if i read correctly, it sounds like you're using a stereo to mono adapter so that could be the issue..?

Shouldn't be summing it to one side though I wouldn't think.
It's probably the adapter. They can vary dramatically in quality and the lower quality ones often have terrible connections. But ultimately if you can get your hands on some 1/4" headphones to test it with you'd know for sure!
Also if you have access to an interface with a line in you could also try using a 1/4" lead.
Good luck! Hope it's the adapter (cheapest fix!)
