What's up sp forums! It's a shame how slow this awesome place is at the moment so I was thinking of ways to contribute some activity to the forum and had what I think is a pretty cool idea. I really enjoy making music of all kinds and in addition to making funky beats I also love writing more traditional compositions and songs. They're mostly rooted in classical harmony with my own jazzy twists here and there, minor modes tend to be my go to tonalities. Anyway I was wondering if I were to provide samples of my songs and their different parts, if some of the folks here would want to make some beats using them, then I could compile everything in a mix.
I will give anyone interested their own unique peice to pull apart and mess with. Just let me know in this thread if you're interested and I'll get you some samples ASAP. I already have a bunch of potential pieces to use but I'm guessing if someone is actually interested in doing this it'll probably inspire me to come up with some new shit lol.

I like the idea of a beat battle but not really a battle. just a flip challenge where people can post their flips of your sample! maybe compile it into a soundcloud playlist each time you do it. just an idea!

Cool thanks for the interest guys, I don't write for traditional instruments nearly as much since I graduated but I know have some stuff I can dig up, I'll post some links here in the next week or so
