Here were the samples this time round. For those of you that thought the jazz sample was a bit high-tempo there are some amazing ballads on this album with some supersmooth and breathy sax tone from Coleman Hawkins. I picked this track because of the amazing clave-rhythm and because the stereo-separation could have been taken advantage of for isolating different instruments.. drums, bass, piano.
Stina Nordenstam is just awesome... not so active now she has a really strong body of work with lot's of material begging to be sampled - recommmend ppl check her out.
Drmnaga78's drum programming was swish swish 808-master 'ish
seezesea, welcome - - choice layers good use of all the samples
Chopperman you are the workhorse.. always a pleasure
Hellopillow, went with you just cause I'm a sucker for Stina's voice and you chopped that track so sweet.. good use of effects too - was my favourite 'song' among this weeks entries.
Had to go with HELLOPILLOW, loved the way you chopped up the vocal sample. That was a tough choice tho I really dug the drum and bassy vibe on drmnagas and choppermans rhymes. And thanks lif for the introduction to stina nordemstam! I already ordered memories of a color haha

That's dope man... good shit.
I fooled a bunch with the samples, had three or four rough ideas sketched out... here's something I never got round to finishing but played a little with again tonite to the point it sounded okay. The curious can check it out.
