what's good guys,
i've finally come to purchase one of these machines but i'm struggling to figure out how to record with ableton. i've done a little bit of research but still am ambivalent as to what else i need.
i currently am running a scarlett 2i2, a 404sx, and mackie cr4 monitors.
i bought one dual 1/4 RCA cable but i'm assuming i need another?
any information would be helpful thanks.

you could either go 1/4" trs cable out of the headphone jack and into the Scarlett, or you could go rca out of the line out to trs into the Scarlett. That's if the Scarlett supports stereo over one channel, which I think it does. If not, you'd need rca to dual 1/4" ts cables with each one going into a separate channel on the Scarlett. Then in ableton you have to click the io button on the right side of the screen and arm an audio track, then select from the input drop down whatever channel the sp is going into on your Scarlett. Then click record and play, then record your stuff. You could also just make your loops and what not on the sp and then put the sad card I. Your computer and drag the stems into ableton.
