SP-303 without a memory card?
Is it like the SP-202 where u don't really need it to make the most out of the machine or is it essential?

It's not essential if you are using mono long/lofi samples primarily, or if youre using the 303 for one shots/chopped drum sounds only. I never tried this, but if you want to use 303 as live fx box via ext source input, a card is not necessary. If you plan to use 303 for recording, chopping, and/or arranging stereo samples, youll need the external memory in my experience.
It is good practice(in the sense that you need to use samples wisely) to use internal only and it is possible to make bangers this way; but the additional working space you get from 2 more banks, along with substantially more recording time, make buying a card worth it in my eyes.

I actually don't have one yet. Deciding between a 202 with no memory card and a 303. Hopefully I'll have one soon.Quasimodem wrote:Anytime, enjoy the 303juicemalone wrote:Thanks for the info
