yo i wanna add keys to my beats on my 404sx

whats the best way, do i record beat keys and bass separately or can i sample it all on the sp itself ?

Get another sp

Or use another DAW or sampler in conjunction with your SP.

Or get a metronome and record everything separately.

Unfortunately, the sp404 cannot resample with ext source. But if you get the sp303 or 555...they can do that!

Or get a looper with USB storage. This way you can layer live instruments over your beat and extract them later.
