I've been making samples entirely on the sampler by using noise generator/subsonic and then manipulating the sound. I've been having some problems though. If I have too many effects piled up it starts to get some noisy peaking. Then I try adding a little reverb and it cleans it up.... UNTIL i go to resample, and the peaking is there again.

Why is it different when I resample then normal?
How can I avoid this problem?
The only solution I can think of is put the output to the computer, record to audacity, save what i make as a file and then import it...

Maybe try turning the sample down a little before you resample.... I'm not sure, but I think that adding an effect will raise the volume of a sample a little. If you keep adding samples, maybe it just keeps getting louder...

you can obvs lower the recording level when resampling, but it will still be trial and error. i mostly get peaks with the reverb on resample, but i find if i drop the recording level to around 110, it tends to be okay.

good luck.

just hit resample button (dont hit record) and turn control 3 knob until you can see what level its peaking at. after adjusting your level where it isnt peeking , then hit record and your set.

ya, what juxt said. But ya.. as u pile on effects things will start to peak on ne thing u use. The noise generator is cool. Another cool thing to use is the subsonic. You can basicaly set it to be a raw sine wave. Get a sound you sampled using the noise generator and run it thru subsonic and replace the sound. That combined with the compressor and EQ can even make some cool drums.

Adding effects usually changes the dynamic range of the track and therefor can create undesired peaking in the levels. I really wish I had the subsonic on my 303.

yeah subsonic is great. I just wish it had a little more presence on small speakers
