Figured id post it here as well. Sorry for the shitty guide.
Hey Guys,
Tutorial for wood panel SP-404.(or other samplers)
Ill give a pretty simple breakdown with steps and images.
1. Materials Needed
-SP-404(sx)
-10mil Wood Veneer(preferably paper backed)
I got a sample from a local distributor that fit perfect so i didnt have to buy the entire 4x8 sheet.
Google these guys!!!
-X Acto Knife

-120 or 160 grit sandpaper
-A laminating adhesive similar to this: http://www.usknobs.com/Aerosol-Contact-Adhesives-High-Strength-Spray-Adhesive-Low-VOC-Can-Size-13-oz..html
I used choice brands 655 adhesive. Contact cement can work as well!
-a cutting board
-minwax stain
-Sealer of some sort ( make sure it seals wood)

-a couple free hours.
2. We begin
Starting by spraying the adhesive on the back of the veneer and the face of the 404. You can sand the 404 but i just washed mine off for a clean surface to adhere too. Wait until the glue is tacky but wont transfer to your hand. Like actually put your hand in it and if it doesnt come off the veneer or 404 your good.
bending the corners were a bit tricky because it wanted to split and snap when forming to the face plate so i took a warm washcloth and applied hot water on the edges. Worked quite nice. I let mine sit all night in a nice dry place( my closet )
Sorry for late process pictures but here it is bonded with the some cut out.

Once it is applied start cutting out the buttons with your x-acto knife on the back side. Use a cutting board and go slow. These things are sharp as hell.
after a while it starts looking real nice

Well rough but nice....
sand all the holes and edges....
Anyways.
I sanded the shit out of it and forgot to take pictures but i started staining.
2 COATS!!!!
Look at her!!!

Let it dry all night again....
come back the next day and seal that thing up....
