Open Challenge... ?

Not wanting to steal any thunder from the regular "weekly" challenges/battles, but I was thinking it would be fun to have an open challenge running at the same time. This would keep things moving during the downtime between battles, and provide an opportunity to incorporate more gear in our compositions.

I don't want to start these up if people feel it will hurt participation in the regular battles, so please speak up if anyone has any concerns.

For those unfamiliar w the open challenge format, rules are similar in that there will be a sample that must be included prominently in your composition, and an SP unit must play a significant role in your creative process. The difference is that you can incorporate any additional gear you have at your disposal. I like the idea of using only hardware, since I know there are a lot of gear heads on the site, but I don't want to exclude anyone using software in their creative process. Deadline will be 2 weeks instead of 1. Upon posting finished tracks participants should include a description of the gear they used.

Not sure if I left anything out. What do you guys think?

You could try it but the last "challenge" we tried to introduce is failing.

Im talking about the resample challenge btw.

I would honestly just launch it and see what happens, its not like anyone will be mad.

i like the idea but can't say i'll be running in it often cause i don't even have a daw or much other gear

depends if outside samples are also able to be used aswell i suppose
