Anyway to quantize patterns with external gear?

Is there anyway to quantize the 404 patterns so when I trigger a pattern they start at the start of the sequence my sequencer is playing?
Or is there a way to send pattern triggers as midi?
At the moment I'm just doing it by ear which is fine for instrumental parts but with beats there's much less room for error
