I know this might be really ignorant to say but im really tired of trying to import all of my samples through the typical SP-404SX Software its very time consuming and at the time i chop all my samples in Ableton and move the chopped samples into my flash drive that i have to move into my other computer in the other room that has a sd card drive which isnt a huge problem but thats only for like 1 sample, soo i tried another way of importing samples through my computer at real time while i did find a way to import samples straight from youtube into my sp-404, the signal comes out very distorted and buzzy at the same time its very annoying and right now i have the SP-404 set up like

SP-404 Line Out => Focusrite Scarlett Solo Line In => Focus Scarllet Line Out => SP-404 Line In

Then i switch the settings around to make Scarlett Solo my main default playback device then i can record real time from youtube to my sp-404 with Ableton going at the same time, the only fucking problem THE BUZZ AND DISTORTION IS KILLING ME T_T.... plz help me so i can get back to making easy to hear beats lol.

Wow dude, one word...feedback. Simple fix takeout the output from the 404 so its just the scarllet into the sp. Computer==> scarlett==> sp. Thats it.

sadly that didnt work it still has that distortion / echoing noise :/

Well...it could be your cords, interface, or sampler. See if you can sample other sounds without useing the interface or importing via your memory card.

might be your cables or how things are routed within Ableton etc. I get a similar issue with a similar setup only mine is with adding "hiss" which isn't always a bad thing, unless I want it intentionally removed. I may take the line out connection off as suggested to test my situation out

Another option is to look into an affordable 2 channel mixer. I'm using a Gemini M-101 Usb and I just record my performance into my DAW, no real hassles. Could be an easier way for you to bounce samples around without always relying on memory card transfers.

Do you have to Asio4ALL installed? If you do, that could actually be the thing that's causing the distortion.

yo .. just sample into the sp . if theres echoing . turn the monitorring down on the scarlett . you could always sample via the standard headphone jack . not much reduction in quality . just roll with it . save yourself the headache

n yea .. by the time id finished using my 404 .. for 5 years .. i stopped using sample import .. it can be taskful if you want immediacey
